Rules
USTA rules will govern all play for the New Hope Open. Players are expected to participate under The Code as published by the USTA.
Match Format
All matches will be best-of-three tiebreak sets, regular scoring, unless otherwise noted:
- All doubles matches prior to the semifinals will play a 10-point tiebreak in lieu of the third set.
- First-match singles consolation matches will be an 8 point pro set.
The tournament directors reserve the right to change the format of matches in case of inclement weather or other unforeseen scheduling difficulties.

- All Open, A, C, and D division matches are at BCRC
- All B division matches are at NTC
- Sunday August 28:
- All Open, A, B, C, and D division matches are at BCRC
- All CONSOLATION matches are at NTC
- Monday August 29:
- All matches are at BCRC
Opening Night & Banquet
Opening night party will be held Friday, August 26th from 6-9 pm at The Raven in New Hope.
Banquet will be held on Sunday, August 28th at 7pm at The Raven in New Hope.
Registration & Payment
Entry
You must use the GLTA web site to register for the New Hope Open. All entries must be received and paid by August 15. You must register online, but you may pay either online using PayPal or manually by check or money order.

Available Divisions
- Men's Singles: Open, A, B, C, D
- Men's Doubles: Open, A, B, C, D
- Mixed Doubles: B
Players may register in different divisions for singles and doubles if allowed by your GLTA points ranking. If you do not have a GLTA points ranking, you must register in the same division for singles and doubles.
Seeding
The GLTA rankings as of August 5, 2011 will be used for seeding and division assignment purposes. Any tournament results that have been published on the GLTA website but not yet included in the points rankings may also be considered in the seeding process by the tournament organizers.
Court Surfaces
All divisions will be played on indoor hard court except for the C division and mixed B doubles, both of which will be played on outdoor Har-Tru (clay) courts.
Capacity
Tournament Entries will be limited to 128 participants. Some divisions may be expanded or contracted based on popularity.

Online Payment
Online payment is available at the time of registration through the PayPal service.
Manual Payment
You may sent payment by mail using a check in U.S. Dollars. Payment must be received within 10 days of registration or your registration will be cancelled. We accept US personal checks or money orders made out to "New Hope Open". No postdated checks will be accepted. Checks returned for insufficient funds will be charged a $25 service charge fee. Refunds
Refunds will be given for withdrawals prior to the draw date.
Important Note on Free Entries
Having a free entry for New Hope 2011 does not guarantee entry into New Hope 2011. Once tournament capacity has been reached, the draw will be closed. Please register early.
